Today!
Eh.. the title would lead you to believe that today was rather exciting. Although, in one sense, I guess it was. I got to go and order my new glasses, and sunglasses. The glasses are Armani, and they look fantastic. Being a Cosmetologist, I have to keep in style, and this is definitely in keeping with the image.
Although according to the book "Real Men Don't say Splendid" I think they outlaw fatastic... but who cares, Im a flaming Hetero-Sexual.. So I think that means I get to be metro sexual and have all the piggish aspects of my fellow man. Course, I think I fail in the being a pig department. Though my Sarcasm generator i certainly working at full capacity.
ALso, after work today I found that I made enough in tips to add to the wedding fund. Speaking of which-
The WEDDING IS IN 16 DAYS!!! AGGHHHHHHH... lol.. Nah. Im ready for it, and I know she is. But you probably couldn't tell with the way we're both freaking out. But that's mostly the seating chart and the shortage on good hard cash. By the by if anyone wants to send us some, feel free.
Im pretty excited to see some of my family that I haven't seen in a long time. They live in Philly and I live here in the Lou these days. So it's going to be a lot of fun.
well, I gotta hit the sack. Peace love and chicken grease.
And Remember, "It's all back stairs and love affairs, it's to early for complications."

Ridiculous Cockjobbery
Okay.. did anyone else hear about the cockjobbery that is The John Kerry crap in Florida http://youtube.com/watch?v=LOzQF8tG5ls
If you haven't you need to watch this. I dont think I can remember the last time I was this angry.
What happened to the Freedom we used to have in this country. When did politicians start getting away with blatant abuse such as this? How can we stand up for ourselves when anyone who is, is summarily tasered down?
F-ing ridiculous

So Go and enjoy, and then come back and let me know what you think.... or if you have reservations speak up.

The Delectable Dune
I'm rereading the House series from Dune, the prequels to dune. It's as good as I remember.
In other news, today was a wonderful 79 degrees, but tonight was a fantastic 69 degrees, and sitting outside at Panera Bread and enjoying a meal with friends was a great ending to a pretty great day. Everythin went pretty well today despite certain people leaving work sick, thus leaving us shorthanded. Also, I got to berate a client for coloring her own hair...badly.
and a little tid bit for ya....

Dairy Challenge
Well, you need to watch this. Kenny Rogers Jackass special
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV6In1K8zKk
Just remember, "No one wins in a dairy challenge."
Cleaning blows
So now Im cleaning. Got people coming over tonight for a little video watching while we do some hair. Gotta make the moolah somehow. lol. Cleaning, I have decided, is less fun then sleeping. Not a hard conclusion to come to, but I guess I am just tired. lol.
How dissapointing
So in the news today - "IN A preview of his report to Congress this week, US commander General David Petraeus yesterday expressed disappointment in the lack of progress towards political reconciliation in Iraq."
The latest ides were to send some more soldiers over to provide more security for the Iraqi governement, which in turn would igve it the breathing space it needs to get going. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case, as I think most of us figured it would be.
See, and tell me if im wrong here , the thing is to create that political process you are going to need leaders (political) who are passionate about what their doing. I haven't seen anything that suggest they have any leaders like this. I think we could stay over there for a longtime and not se any progress because they need to want the progress. Then they need to take it. Freedom and liberties can't be given, they must be fought for and taken with the force of will.
I think Ben can agree with me on this one... so whaddya think?
oh here's the link by the by.... http://www.theage.com.au/news/world/iraq-not-working-out-as-hoped/2007/09/08/1188783555624.html

Not a complete loss
Well the day may have started out with me wondering where it was going, but in the end it worked out pretty decent. Got some tips, made some money, and to top it all of im at home now ready for some bedtime. So thank you world for not sucking up the day with wierd clients. Actually I love my job most days but lately the wierdos have ben coming out of the woodwork. Mullets and such. lol. j/k.... anyways, goodnight new blog.
Work is creeping up
Well, it's 11am and It's time to ready myself for work yet again. A day off doesn't seem to last long enough. You get everything you need to get done and there's no time left to play. It's unfortunate but not uncommon I suppose. So here I am ready for yet another day of working for tips and hoping that the day is somewhat better than any day beforehand. Is this any different than what anyone else feels before they head off to their 9-5's? I suppose not. But it's just another day in my Latest Disaster.
Rainy Friday
So here we go. My first attempt at breaking away from my comfy livejournal account. I found that I wasn't using it anymore and to be completely honest, everyone I talk to on there was using it as a place to air their frustrations over how their life sucks. I don't mind a little of this now and then but when everyone you know on a web site is depressing boy does it make you want to shoot yourself in the face. Twice, with a cannon.
So here we are with a brand new blog that none of them are aware that I am on... so I've finally done it. I've escaped like Paul Newman did in 1967 (Cool Hand Luke).
It feels so fresh and new to have this blog so you'll have to excuse the ranting here as I test out the waters of my new fishbowl.
But it does feel so good to be out of the old and into the new.
